Cozy, Spooky Night In – Panel One

Cozy, Spooky Night In

Join Panel One as we gear up for All Hallows Eve! This exciting Sketch Session will allow creators to create a one-page Halloween-inspired comic to be published online and on social media.

What to expect?

Join Nicole Gruszecki as she brings creators together to collaborate on an online zine. When you arrive, you will be provided with instructions for the HallowZINE.

You will start your pages with us at this Sketch Session but can finish your work on your own time.

PDFs of your finished comic will be due by midnight on October 4th. Pages can be submitted to sketch.sessions@panelone.ca.

Please include a title, your name and any other info or links to your own online presence.

This event is open to everyone, whether you are an experienced artist or just a beginner! We’re here to have fun and build skills in a collaborative and creative environment.

What to bring to a sketch session

Bring what sparks your creativity! In this skill-building session, you can work with whatever medium you feel most comfortable with, from charcoal to watercolours to digital tools. Please bring what you are comfortable with as drawing tools will not be supplied. Our session lead will be there to help you.

For those who are rocking traditional:

  • Paper
  • Pens, pencils, erasers and a bold pop of colour
  • Collage materials (magazine cut-outs, glue, scissors)
  • Scissors

About Sketch Sessions

Sketch Sessions is a community-focused arts group where artists can come together to share and grow. It’s open to everyone, panel one members and non-members, because we believe that art and art-making should be accessible to everyone.
